Why I built it

A good project starts with understanding each other completely.

Working with brands from different geographies, I noticed that the finest details of a project and its cultural nuances get lost when squeezed into a shared language. I didn't want to put you through the stress of a foreign language, or trap us in clunky tools that slow the conversation down.

So I built my own live-translation infrastructure, so we can communicate completely smoothly and naturally. As we talk over video on Şahan Meet, the language barrier between us simply disappears.

Good to know

Do I have to sign up or install anything?

Neither. You don't need an account or any download to use Şahan Meet. On the day we talk, I send you a link, you click it, and we're in the meeting, straight from your browser. That's all it takes.

I don't speak Turkish. Can we still understand each other easily?

Absolutely, that's exactly why I built it. You speak in whatever language feels most natural, and I understand you instantly; I speak Turkish, and you hear it in yours. You honestly won't think about the language at all.

Do I have to wait for my sentence to finish before it's translated?

No, and that's my favorite part. The translation flows while you're still talking, so there's none of that 'you go, then I go' back and forth. It feels like a normal, face-to-face chat.

Which languages can I use?

More than 80. Turkish and English to begin with, plus German, Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish, Chinese and many others. Whatever you'd like to speak, you just pick it at the start of the call.

While I hear the translation, can I also hear your real voice?

Of course. By default you hear only the translation so the voices don't overlap, but if you're curious about my tone or energy, you can switch my real voice on with a single tap.

I'm not at my computer. Can I join from my phone?

Easily. Everything works the same from your phone's browser, so wherever you are, you join with a single link.
