SKYLOCK LOGO DESIGN

We carried out a comprehensive logo design and brand identity project for Skylock Roofing Systems, a Dubai-based company that provides rainscreen facades and free-form roofing systems for the most prestigious construction projects on the Arabian Peninsula.

Building the visual identity from scratch for a company that operates on an international scale and is involved in the industry’s most ambitious projects was both an exciting and highly responsible process. The primary goal for an engineering brand of this scale was to convey the company’s prestige and technical strength in a single symbol without falling into the industry’s conventional visual clichés.

We began the process with comprehensive industry research, competitor analysis, and architectural references. Discovering that the brand drew inspiration from Zaha Hadid’s fluid and organic architectural language proved to be the turning point that defined the design direction. Dozens of directions were explored in the sketchbook. We worked on alternatives based on the letter “S,” the key metaphor, wave forms, and roof profiles.

The resulting logomark draws its inspiration from the company’s DNA. The fluid “S” form captures the organic movement of Skylock’s specialty—freeform facade panels—while forming the simplest geometry of a triangular roof profile beneath it. Movement and structure, innovation and trust are all embodied in a single symbol.

The color palette was also carefully curated. Deep navy blue conveys corporate authority and the depth of Gulf nights, while turquoise reflects the glass facades of the Dubai skyline. Together, these two colors establish a language that is both premium and technical.
